Sheltered by 3 walls, with an open view of the weather,
we watch the rain fall and the winds blow.
No sunshine today – a fully grey day.
By nightfall, the storm is more aggressive.
Startling cracks of thunder in the wind and rain…
Strobes of lightning, 1 bolt per second for hours…and then the power went out.
Grateful today for
our quiet christmas eve day in the rain,
being close to my mate when the thunder and lightning carried on,
and for fully charged flashlights.
