What a wildly different Christmas!
Rainy throughout, not as stormy as yesterday…
No power today – glad to have gas to cook breakfast on.
Freezer items all still solidly frozen.
My mate and I have breakfast at Boucan,
So so grateful that they will keep our frozen items in their freezer! Added also our neighbour’s frozen meats.
The day passes quietly.
By 5:30, it is dark, really dark.
Dinner is prepared while there is daylight (thanks to my mate),
and eaten by LED flashlight…
Grateful today for
a different kind of Christmas,
the community around us – helping one another out,
and for my ipad lasting to the end of “The Signature of All Things“…what a book!
