Chicago subway

Love this city!

Come and show me another city with lifted head singing. – Carl Sandburg

Spring is such a wonderful time to visit Chicago.

During our short stay, we had a little bit of everything: super warm weather, a thunderstorm, and a lovely spring day. No matter how many times we visit, it never seems to be quite long enough.

We had great meals at Shanghai Terrace, RL, and Summer House, and a super fun time at Wrigley Field watching the cubs play their rivals, the Brewers. We also enjoyed the Museum of Contemporary Art and loved the Joe Jackson show at Park West. Whew!

It was a wonderful few days in a great city – full of good food, good music, art, baseball, and that unmistakable Chicago energy.

So grateful to Mary for booking the ball tickets, making reservations, and recommending lunch at RL (even if I was a bit of a bull in a china shop, managing to disturb the place setting at the table beside us while getting into my seat.) Oy!

Grateful for our luxurious stay at the Four Seasons, for all the delicious food and fun activities, and for our Chicago pals who always have the inside scoop.
