In the early morning hours, power was restored. Yay!
Christmas storm in mind, we wondered how the rest of the island had fared…
Into town for bottles of water,
and then to Sugar Beach – for a leisurely lunch.
As we dine at the Terrace, back online and looking for news from the storm,
we read of 6 deaths, downed radar systems, closed bridges, airports and power outages…
Grateful today for
restored power,
the shelter we had during the storm,
and for today’s sunshine…
Picked up this morning by dawg limo and taken to Chinatown Prosperity Dumplings are an awesome impromptu picnic on a beautiful springlike day. We are then off to Brooklyn. So great to see so many people out and about, the streets are buzzing… And the Brooklyn Flea! Fantastic! Grateful today…
From a full house to one half filled… From wonderful dining at restaurants to a home cooked meal… I am grateful for my friends who flow easily through transitions, the open conversations we continue to have, and the kitchen dance we do together so smoothly.
Following a few work related phone calls and emails, we venture out for lunch at Martha’s Tables. Martha is taking the day off… Plan B – lunch under the mango tree. Perfect. A swim at Harmony Beach – so changed over the years… From being completely local with grazing cows…
