Foraging by car

saBEE, 30 Nov ’131 Dec ’13

First stop this morning is the St Lawrence farmer’s market.
Alas, Uncle Jorge is away this week.
Fortunately there is an organic produce store downstairs in the south market…

Then to Church street to pick up some meats and cheese,
and finally to Kensington market for dry beans.
A coffee with my mate at Fika leads to a coincidental meeting with our intense arty hipster friend…

Home with all our provisions for the week,
it is another 3 hours of washing, spinning and packing away.
Everything put away and beans out soaking for tomorrow. Yes!
In perfect time to watch a glorious sunset.

Grateful today for
Toronto’s availability of organic provisions,
a great new cafe to return to in Kensington,
and for the incredible sunset view out the kitchen window.
