My mate’s birthday dinner last night was such a special meal.
Walking around with Chinatsu, we were lucky to pass 3 or 4 modern day geishas, and 1 fake one…
A wonderful evening with Chinatsu – thank you again for spending the evening with us.
Today, we had a leisurely morning and then set out on our electric bicycles.
Task one – find the famous chopstick store – the Ichihara Heibei Shop.
Wow! Beautifully hand crafted chopsticks with the sharpest points I’ve ever seen.
From there an easy ride to the Nishiki market – full of delicious Japanese pickles…Yum!!
We continued on to have a lovely brunch, and then to the Museum of Modern Art.
Cycling on…with a stop in a beautiful Zen Buddhist temple.
Made our way back to a patio on the river for a cool refreshing beer…
and then back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner.
Grateful today for
Chinatsu – thank you so much for making my mate’s birthday so special,
cycling about Kyoto – fantastic way to travel around,
and for my mate – travel and life with you is so wonderful. xxoo
