Our walking about in Trieste starts early.
First stop a lovely boutique where all the ladies find great items.
Coffee, spritzers and beer in the square and then on to the markets.
Traditional Italian lunch at Mama Rosa’s – a wonderful meal surrounded by the locals of Trieste.
En route back to the ship, my mate discovers a gallery by the port.
Grateful today for
a full day of shopping, food, art and culture,
wonderful travel companions,
and for the glorious weather.
An early start to the day. Brother Mike meets us at the hotel – so good to see him! Then we are off to meet Gomo. Onward to the countryside – to Kenny’s hometown to pay respects to my grandparents. Thinking it would be a quick trip there and back…it…
Have so enjoyed having friends here with fresh eyes. Each time we are here, I discover more about the plants, people and Lucian life. So great to have had G+G experiencing it for the first time, and now exuberance. The cosmics and country mice – we’ve shared many times here……
My mate’s birthday dinner last night was such a special meal. Walking around with Chinatsu, we were lucky to pass 3 or 4 modern day geishas, and 1 fake one… A wonderful evening with Chinatsu – thank you again for spending the evening with us. Today, we had a leisurely…
