We should certainly count our blessings, but we should also make our blessings count. Neal A. Maxwell
Summer in Northern Ontario is so very beautiful and precious. Our weekend at Bone Island was a wonderful time. With MAO, the Straws and PKen, we shared 3 days and 2 nights on the island. Food, drink, games, Olympic watching, saunas, jumps into the bay and quiet times spent together. Truly grateful for all the moments shared and the fun we all had together.
Watching the clouds and the waves from the beautiful cottage was truly a delight. Hard not to think of our friend Laurie, gone too soon. Signs of her everywhere. A few tears shed as we watched PKen’s video of his speaking at her celebration of life. I truly do miss my friend who would text me to tell me to look at the eagles in the tree.
There was so much more that I wanted to share with Laurie. She will always be a part of Camelot and being at the cottage will always remind me of her love of the outdoors and her IG hashtags #getoutside #wheredidyouwalktoday. While you are forever in our hearts, you are missed.
Grateful for Naples – where our friendship really began, for the meals and fun times shared, and for this special place that she built.
