The ornament of a house is the friends who frequent it. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Over the past week, we had three summer visits.
First was R&B – my sister-in-law and her husband, then a visit with niece Susie, her husband and their four year old daughter. The third was with Very & Jay and their two sons. All three were repeat visits from last summer, and it’s so great to have people come back again.
The addition of the three new young goats is a hit with everyone, kids and adults alike. A walk around Idlewild always delights – hens to see, goats to fee who’ll walk along with us, and gardens to view. The floating garden is always a joy.
We so appreciate the time people take to come out and see us. From Toronto, it’s a 90-120 minute drive and similar time from Aurora, ON. Summers in Ontario go by so quickly, I am so grateful for the time we get to spend with family and friends.
