Oki

The names we have encountered in St Lucia…
Griselda, Isadore, Titus, and Acadia,
Jorge, Rashida, Tobias and Valencia…
Our friends we see daily –
MaryJane, Patricia, Martha, Ferrard and Feranes.

All lovely people who call St Lucia home,
from Soufriere, Choiseul,
Canaries and Anse La Raye.

A beautiful and sunny day –
Myers Bridge in the morning, followed by a walk and uphill run…
Down to Soufriere in the afternoon seeking a water taxi to take us to Anse Cochon.
Bushman, aka Terry, provides the service on his colourful boat, Oki.

After lunch at the beach bar, some swim, and some sit on the beach.
A lively and friendly beach – we share laughs, conversation and even kweyol lessons with new friends…
As the sun lowers in the sky, we motor back along the incredible coast…arriving back at the villa for sunset.

Grateful today for
my opera listening experience at Anse Cochon a few years ago with ceeBEE & shared moments of water phosphorescence,
meeting and talking with Marcus,
the beautiful waters of the Caribbean,
and for my mate – thank you for all the incredible adventures we share together.
