Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. – William Morris
It takes 30 days of NOT logging into Meta accounts to delete Meta accounts.
I’ve passed that time period now.
Downloaded my content before deleting – at first glance it does not seem that ALL the content is there.
I have had a love / hate relationship with social media for much too long.
Initially enjoying ‘being connected’ to people I did not see regularly,
post likes feeling like connection
and the absence of comments and conversation depressing.
Added to my personal experience, the tech billionaire broligarchy.
No accountability for the damage caused to so many from their platforms.
it was an easy decision to delete my accounts.
30 days later, I do not miss either of the accounts.
In my separation from Meta, world of sabee on Facebook is still there.
Unable to delete it, as I no longer have a Meta account.
MAO’s account can’t do it either as we do not have the current password…
and on going the loop. “They” do not make it easy to disengage.
Grateful today
for being out of the Meta accounts,
for a month of deliberate & intentional content consumption,
and for a new project of figuring out how to report the world of sabee account as an imposter.
