A morning cab ride to the Metropolitan Museum of Art,
a walk in Central Park to a deli for lunch,
walking down through Times Square to the Blue Bar at the Algonquin Hotel.
Then to the Jazz Standard for a great set of music,
and a walk home through the lively streets of the city.
Grateful today for
all the museums, squares and public spaces,
a great music show,
and for Friday in New York.
