Woke up this morning to this view – a special treat after arriving in the dark.
Coffee and the most delicious grapefruit to start the day…
Rain rolls in throughout the day – followed by sunshine.

Connected with all our friends here – Mary Jane and Ferrard – so good to see them!
Stopped in at Eroline’s for a few more supplies and got the scoop on the Chocolate Factory.
News in St Lucia is mixed – a 15% VAT added last year is making life difficult here.

We are concerned for all our friends in the ice storm back in Toronto.
When we try to get a sense of what’s happening – this is the message on Toronto Hydro’s site…

Wow. If there was ever a time the outage map should be functioning…this seems to be it!

Grateful today for
getting here just in time – amazed at our fortune as we typically leave on Sundays…
a day in the tropical beauty of the Terrace,
and for knowing that my brother and his family are safe and with power at Wellington.
