and then an evening at the Villa.
Grateful today for
the serenity of Anse Mamin – the stones around the palms…
picking up things from the grocery store before sunset,
and for the different sunset views.
A glorious day. Sailing and snorkeling on a sunny day. I am grateful today to have visited this caterpillar chomping away on his leaf, the school of blue tangs on the reef, and the sand piper running along the beach at night.
The pace of our day was perfect. A leisurely brunch with much sharing and conversation. Then to the beach. After a few hours on the beach and in the pool, we moved to our favorite cabana by the rocks. A game of scrabble with wine as we watched the sunset….
Checked out of Liscombe Lodge after a lovely stay. Back on the road to Cape Breton Island… Lunch in Baddeck – historic little spot on the water – and then onto our next lodge. Crossed the water via cable ferry, winded our way into the highlands of Cape Breton… and…
ahhhhhh….to be lounging under a canopy of palm trees again!
