An early start to the day.
Brother Mike meets us at the hotel – so good to see him!
Then we are off to meet Gomo.
Onward to the countryside – to Kenny’s hometown to pay respects to my grandparents.
Thinking it would be a quick trip there and back…it turns into a full day.
Visiting the burial site of my Gomo-Bu’s parents, then to a country home for refreshments.
After a delicious lunch of crab stew, we get to Kenny’s hometown – Hongsong.
My grandfather’s home is now the site of a condo. So much has changed here.
We get to the burial site, do our bows and then return to Seoul.
Grateful today for
the beautiful countryside of Korea – so wonderful to see all the farming and beautiful landscapes,
a day with Mike to catch up as we travel,
and for Gomo – her laughter and sharing throughout the day…so good to remember Kenny with her.
