Food Focused Saturday

Woke up this morning to a full house…
Mun-Hee and the boys are downstairs – full of energy as my mate and I get ourselves up,
We all share an oatmeal raisin breakfast before heading to the market.

My mate takes care of the boys while I take Mun-Hee to the St Lawrence markets for her first time.
Such a delight to see her smile and to share parts of my life with her…
By noon, we have returned and everyone carries on with their day.

A fridge full of food,
the afternoon is focused on food – veggie broth from older veggies (2 week old parsley still fresh!),
and an improvisation on vegan kimchi using beets and apple as sweetener + sweet potato for the starch.

Grateful today for
today’s market experience with Mun-Hee – complete with a sit down coffee before going home (Seoul-style),
the wonderful produce that fills our fridge,
and for the many sources we have downtown for clean food, especially home.
