And into the field I go, to lose my mind and find my soul. – John Muir
The plan had been to book two weeks in the city for when our niece, Juha, would be going to summer camp at Young People’s Theatre downtown.
We found a Yorkville condo that looked like it would work out, and we booked it.
The next decision was whether to stay, keep it for the month, or lose the money. While it was hard to walk away from the booking, we really did not want to stay. In the end, leaving was the easy decision.
I had one commitment already booked: lunch with Exuberance. As she would soon be leaving Toronto to live in Sooke, BC, I really did not want to miss our lunch date. Thankfully, she was able to meet me a day earlier.
By the time I left for lunch, we had all our stuff packed up and much of it loaded into the car.
Our lunch was at The Lunch Lady, and what a wonderful treat it was to dine there. An absolutely delicious moment to share with Exuberance before she headed west.
Once lunch was over, MAO came to pick me up, and we were back on the road.
Back to maoVee and the hayfield.
Leaving the city behind.
Within 24 hours, we had unpacked, repacked, and unpacked all our stuff. Whew.
Settled for the moment, with no long-term plan. We will see where we are at by the end of July.
Grateful for my lunch with Exuberance today, and so glad we had that moment together before she left. Grateful for how well MAO and MAO work together — no flies on us!
And grateful for the beautiful sunset we took in this evening.
