For a brief moment,
the morning sky is sunny and bright.
Winter carries on with overcast gray days,
wind and more snow.
Grateful today
for the warm comforts of home,
the toys that keep me entertained and amused,
and the view through the window – where I watch the squirrels chasing one another over rooftops and in the trees.
