When eating bamboo sprouts, remember the man who planted them. Chinese Proverb
It’s been three weeks since our return to Naples and I am feeling more settled in as each day passes. The first days of experiencing a mandatory curfew, closed beaches and debris from the storm everywhere were unsettling. While our building was unaffected by Hurricane Ian, many were damaged by the water surges and flooding. Definitely not the same place that we left in May.
Grateful to return to a remodeled kitchen and always excited to get back into making our meals. After more than 2 weeks on the road, we are ready for home cooked meals and lots of salads. The farmer’s market on Saturday morning provided lots of veggies to toss in the salad bowl. In this salad, there are 10 different veggies, chickpeas and chia seeds. Dressing is a Catalina Dressing from Monkey & Me Kitchen Adventures.
Grateful to be back in our own space and making meals.
Grateful for Inyoni Organic Farms for their delicious greens and for all the vendors at the farmer’s market each Saturday morning.
