After a night in a hotel by the Lima airport, we fly to Cusco. Sitting by the window, I am incredibly moved by the beauty of the Andes. Bright deep greens in valleys, mixed with the clouds and fantastic snow capped peaks. Cusco is sunny, bright and beautiful. A full day of adjusting to altitude, and touring the cathedral, town and Incan temple of the sun ends with a cocktail in the bar and a restful evening to energize for tomorrow.
