I was recently reminded of my mother’s community in Cambodia. So very grateful that one of her students contacted me to ask about her. Today she is in good care and doing as best she can. ![]()
Posting this today for Sinja Song and as an update for others in her Cambodian community and elsewhere. ![]()
The kindness calendar (dedicated to SinJa) was delayed in delivery in Canada due to the Canada Post strike. Still, it managed to make it to some people just in time for the lunar new year. Happy Year of the Snake! ![]()

After 5 years of living in the States, Thanksgiving has taken on new meaning. It has become the start of holiday season and for me the time when I make a new calendar for the coming year. ![]()
This year’s calendar is themed Kindness. It is a calendar made up of photos that I have taken over the years, paired with a quote on Kindness. ![]()
The calendar is inspired from the gratitude felt during the GoFundMe campaign for my mother, SinJa Song. gofund.me/6f947c06
The kindness of those who gave to the campaign shone brightly enough to dim all the negative feelings around her attack, including the lack of support from those who she gave so much to during her entire life. ![]()
Grateful today for
the kindness of all the donors to the campaign,
a wonderful Thanksgiving with Canadian friends - new & old,
and for those that care for SinJa daily.
