Staying 3 nights at a lovely Bed & Breakfast (remember that type of accommodation?!?). Our hosts are really terrific. Continental and cooked breakfasts in the morning. Five o’clock drinks…and many interesting conversations. ![]()

An earthquake and fire wiped out Napier in 1931. Today there is extensive Art Deco architecture. ![]()

As we toured, we heard we were in the ‘fruit bowl’ of NZ. Vineyards, orchards and the farmers’ market were the sources of our breakfast fruits and jams. ![]()

Rental vehicle picked up and we are heading north. My mate is an excellent driver. He has also selected a perfect spot to stop for lunch to view sculpture gardens and galleries. ![]()
