After a lovely breakfast at home, we go out for a walk by the lake. The day is overcast and snowing. The ice on the lake is beautiful…undulating with the movement of the water. While there, my mate works hard to also put away broken branches from the winter’s storms……

Finding Warmth
The cold weather continues… Have noticed new birds outside the window – starlings, a cardinal and today’s pigeon. Glad we have been putting seeds outside for them… A 90-minute hot yoga class helps to warm me up enough to venture outdoors. The walk to the market for needed grains, spices…
Cold Wednesday
The weather continues to be extremely cold – polar vortex is forecast to be hanging around until February… Nice and warm indoors, especially when the sun shines through the window, And when a friend drops in for a warm-up visit! Spent the afternoon emptying, sorting and refilling the kitchen drawers……
